The Nigerian-Korean Investment Forum & Expo was held on the 17th of October, 2019, at the Council Chambers of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Seoul, South Korea. This landmark event, which attracted an impressive gathering of diplomats, businesses, investors, and policymakers, was strategically designed by the African Trade Center to deepen Nigeria’s trade and investment cooperation with South Korea.
The forum provided a unique platform for both nations to explore new opportunities in bilateral trade, promote cross-border partnerships, and strengthen economic ties. Nigerian representatives highlighted the vast potential within the country’s diverse sectors such as oil and gas, agriculture, solid minerals, infrastructure, ICT, and creative industries, while Korean stakeholders shared insights into technology-driven investments, industrial growth, and innovation that could benefit the Nigerian market.
Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, the Embassy of Nigeria in Seoul, and in collaboration with the Korea-Africa Foundation, the Trade Mission underscored Nigeria’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial relationships with global partners. The event also facilitated high-level networking sessions, business-to-business meetings, and discussions on long-term collaboration between Nigerian entrepreneurs and Korean corporations.
Ultimately, the Nigerian-Korean Investment Forum & Expo did more than just showcase opportunities—it served as a bridge to promote sustainable partnerships, cultural exchange, and deeper understanding between two dynamic economies. It was a clear demonstration of Nigeria’s readiness to engage globally, attract foreign investments, and strengthen its role as a leading economic player on the African continent.
